COLLEGE LIBRARY

 

            The college has fairly large central library with sufficient books. Presently the library has a stock of over  Ten thousand number of books.  The total Library is completely computerized.

 

            Besides the library subscribes a few literary Magazines, periodical and Journal of educative and didactic values and also some loading daily newspapers both in Odia and English.

 

            Borrowing facilities are available for staff and students only. A bonafide student on production of library Card can borrow books from the library for a specific time only.

 

            The students and staff can borrow books up to a limited number at the same time. The maximum number of books that may be issued to the different categories of borrowers are shown in the following table.

Under no cases the staff and students can keep library books with them beyond the maximum number fixed. Number of fresh book can only be issued on return of the same number of books to the library.

 

            +2 1st year students must return all library books before the start of their Annual Examination and the other class students before filling up their forms for CHSE and University Examinations. The Staff members should return all the library books borrowed by them by the end of the Academic session.

            If a student suffers a loss of him library card, a duplicate card can be issued to him on applying for the same by depositing a fine of Rs. 30.

            If a student damages or loses his library book, he or she has to pay double the cost of that book as compensation.

            The Library has a small study room where staff and students can read text books, magazines, journals  and newspapers. While inside the study room, one is required to maintain silence without disturbing others. The rule-breaker shall be liable to punishment basing on the report of the librarian to the Principal.

            Outsiders may use the library on obtaining due permission from the Principal.
